Strange athena problem

Very strange athena problem here i recieved the hdd whose motor spins for 3 seconds and powers off then i put the hdd in safe mode load appropriate LDR file and then it load successfuly and working fine then i goto the Service area structure all modules are ok .

What could be the problem ?

Hmmm .....

Seems like corrupt bytes in DISKID module. Replace with working one.

Yes, agreed.

Me sorry for the earlier confusion (if any) ... I meant to say that the UList module (not DISKID) may have the contents corrupted or overwritten by nearby sectors data ... This is normally the cause for the above symptom ...

Well, sometimes its fully overwritten, sometimes only a few bytes is overwritten and sometimes its simply garbage. So, check the UList module and compare with a working one.
