Can selfscan fix currupted overlays in Maxtor drives ?

NO.
Selfscan is intended for surface checking and relocation of defects. If OVL are corrupted, rewrite.
I see often correct OVL headers and checksum but trash INSIDE the module (pseudo-random)... don't ask me why or how this happens - overflow ?!?
If SA has errors, in my experience, for a "limited" number of defects are auto-relocated during module writing, if severe SA corruption is encountered, then you have to relocate on your own.

Can SA errors like , errors in DATA copy 1 can be reallocated ?
if yes please tell me how because in most of the drives this is the problem there is problem in SA surface and i cannot rewrite modules it gives error .
so reallocation of SA errors will definetly help .
