well i dont need a PS3 yet i can make PS1 games work on my PSP without a PS3 thanks to Dark Alex his custom 3.03 FW wich boots games directly of of your memorystick. Pretty cool huh?

I'm going to wait until the PS3 is out for at least a year,this way if it has
any problems the company should have fixed it! Usually they do, thats why they go slim!:cool:

I agree with Psyco. Wait a while. Also lets you see the good games that have come out and often you get a nice price drop after a year or so.

Sorry to double post, but new information concerning the PS3 price has been released. In Europe, to reduce prices, Sony has removed the Emotion Engine which is basically the chip that allows for the patch-less emulation. It is very likely that that will be implemented here in the USA very soon as well.

This is both good and bad as the price will go down, but we will now have to deal with the limitations of downloadable patches. Not only is it just plain annoying, but patches for all of the games that were previously playable, you will now have to wait until a patch is released before you can play it on your console. The impact of this won't be as bad as it is on the 360 though. PS3 Online is free, so you will get your patches without issue that way.

yeah,
but ps3 has much better graphics, so I'm considering to play with it.
too bad it hasn't been hacked yet, and that is very bad :(
