Software for seagate & terminal??

Is there any other software(st mem) for seagate with com terminal ??

I know salvation but without a crack it is useless so...

all regular terminal programs are good,
like: hercules terminal, ZOC, standard windows terminal and so on.
the only thing you need is seagate commands !

im talking about some more akomplished soft like hdd repairer.

before i got comprehensive list, i was trying to learn commands by experimenting, but there are so many commands and so few HDDs to try :)

1/4 of these commands will fuck up your HDD if entered incorectly,
for example you enter "f" (if i recall corectly, did not use these commands for a long time) at the T level and it will erase your flash ROM on the drive and HDD becomes useless instantly !

Level T - Certification Tests.

Start manufacturing test
Set drive ‘Age’
Commands to read cert logs, read error logs, write test data to flash, etc.

Level 1 - Memory Control Commands.
Commands to display buffer, display memory, set memory, copy buffer to flash, read sysvars from disk, etc.

Level 2 - Drive Level Commands
A command to configure the cylinders, heads for testing, gives option for random cylinder/head and random data patterns
Commands to set data patterns, perform ECC tests, manipulate the error log, dump the sequencer ram.
Commands to do physical to logical conversion, assign skips and alternates, etc.
Commands to spinup, spindown, seek, read, write, read long, write long, read compare, sleep, set retries, etc.

Level 3 - Seeking Commands
Display the zone table
Motor acceleration test
Measure head switch & settling times
Display head offset

Level 9 – Drive Level Command (Full-slipping Defect Management Mode)

Beside the above nine levels of commands, there are two additional sets of commands, the On-line commands and Common commands. The main purpose of On-line command is to display varies type of status. Common command is use to ‘poke’ and ‘peek’ into memoery to allow access to registers, buffer memory and data memory.

In some models of Barracuda drive family switching to SafeMode preserves the same hierarchy of operational levels asin normal mode; the selection of available commands at that is somewhat limited. At die same time, more recent firmware modifications enter a special F level in SafeMode; the level includes features, which in regular mode are distributed among several levels. Among models listed in this edition of the manual, such peculiarity is typical for Barracuda V, Barracuda 7200.7, and U Series 7.

On-Line commands
* Displays the drive status.
• Displays firmware status.
Esc Interrupts execution

Level F.
Bx.v Displays a specified buffer (see level 2).
CX,Y.Z Copies buffers (see level 2).
Dx,y,Z Displays memory dump (see level 1).
Rx Reads system information"x" = 1 reads track defect list"x" = 2 reads start-up adaptive data"x" = 4 reads Application codeIf the parameters are not specified, the program will read all system information.After commend execution the drive keeps functioning on level F.

I'm wondering if anyone knows the correct sequence to start ST 7200.7 on Level F (without pc3k) ?

Kindly pm me if anyone is willing to give me a hint or two ...

all you have to do is keeeeeeeeeeeep on pressing ctrl+z once you try to connect to HDD
