My 2.5" 60GB Samsung HD crashed recently. I've sent it to a shop in SLS to recover the important data that i have. Apparently, the guy at the shop said the PCB of my HD is spoilt and he would need to get a exact same one so to recover the data. BUT, the thing is...i've been waiting for more than a month!!! This freaking shop told me that 60GB hd is rare now and thus hard to grab hold the PCB. (not sure how true is that!) Avoid the shop at all costs..lousy service. i'm sick of waiting..

I'm just wondering if anyone knows any other GOOD data recovery service in SLS? or naybe can provide alternative soultions to my problem? I have really important data in my hd..

Cheap way is trying to look for the same drive on ebay

the more expensive way is to send it to a professional data recovery company like 'ontrack' - those have modes of most hdds in stock for easy datarecovery if the PCB fails.
