Hi,
can anyone tell me how closely the online priceguides on hardwarezone relate to what you can expect to pay for pc components on the highstreet? I'm moving to Singapore in August and I'm hoping to build a new system. I've heard a lot of good things about the price of electronics in singapore compared to in the UK, but a lot of the prices given in the price guides are much the same and often more than what I'd expect to pay here. This seems a bit odd since prices in the UK are usually extortionate compared to everywhere else. I have a friend who's been to Singapore and he seems to think that you can get a lot of money off by haggling, is this true?
Any help will be much appreciated.

I have never been in sigapore. But one way to reduce the cost of a system is to buy used components.

Most countries overseas are haggle oriented. If you don't bargain with them and pay full price, they think that you are a fool and will try to rip you off.
