Problem with HTS541

Hi,

WE have a HTS 541 from sony laptop, this drive is detected properly in the
laptop but has lot of bad sectors. So we tried putting using it on DE, the DE is not able to read the Drives ID. The drive goes in ready mode. Can anybody let me know if DE supports this model or not or if we are doing anything wrong.

HTS541 series is not support by pc 3000 pci and DE.

Hi,

I agree that no utility in PCI 3k support HT 541 but DE should support?

I went through the details of DE on the ACE lab site, as per them all drives irrespective of their support on utilities in PCI 3k. The problem is that DE is not even able to read the Drive ID.

Hope I am not doing anything wrong.

Use PC3000 PCI UDMA. This card support utilities HTS541
